Vulcan Poker uses the Playtech software that all iPoker network sites use. Players will find that the software at Vulcan Poker is decent and that the flow of the games and tournaments is rather smooth.

The poker tables at Vulcan Poker consists of a standard green felt. The table is trimmed in black with cup holders and the background is a white flooring. Players are represented by avatars, although there are not much of a variety and these avatars can be toggled off. The note-taking function does not allow for a wrap-around of text. Players can toggle the cards into four-color mode. Players can access their Hand Histories for up to 3 months after play.

Main menu features are quite good. Players can easily filter limit and no-limit cash games as they see fit. Players can also set up their SnGs and MTTs as they set their filters. Cash game menus provide players with Average Pot Sizes, Players to the Flop percentages and Hands Per Hour, allowing them to quickly and easily discover which games are the right fit. SnG and Tournament menus are, likewise, easily filterable and players can sort tournaments by a wide variety of means. The cashier, customer support, promotion and options screens are all available in the main menu.

There are a few small problems with the Vulcan Poker software. Players cannot click pre-action buttons and drag-off the button if they change their minds.Vulcan Poker's software has a tendency to disconnect players. Re-connecting is not automatic. This is a problem with all of the poker sites that share the iPoker platform.

SnGs are offered in a wide variety of formats with buy-ins as low as $1+$0.20 and as high as $1,000+$30. Players can find SnGs with up to 5 tables and as low as head-up matches. At this time, only NL SnGs are available. Although part of the iPoker network, Vulcan Poker doesn't yet offer the famous iPoker Jackpot SnGs. ITH will update this information as soon as it becomes available at Vulcan Poker.
