The best sites for SNG’s are naturally the most popular, primarily because they are the easiest places to join a game. There is so much traffic on these sites that you normally don’t have to wait more than a couple of minutes to get into a game. However, there are a few important differences between the sites that you should be aware of when choosing where to play. I have put together a list of some of the more popular sites and have provided a description of each. The information contained here should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect at the different poker sites.
This month we are going to discuss bankroll requirements and expected earn rates when playing SNG’s. Covering these topics will allow you set goals for yourself, which are not only reasonable, but also consistently obtainable. In many ways, your approach to sit‘n’go’s should parallel your approach to limit poker. By this I mean that in order to be successful, you must set goals for yourself and exercise proper bankroll management.
Let me first introduce myself. I post under the name “KEVBO” on the ITH forums and have been playing poker for over six years but only seriously for the past two or three. It was the fall of 1998 when I started playing hold’em on a computer video game. Then, in February of 1999 I went to Las Vegas to get married on a planned elope. While there we stayed at the MGM Grand and they had one table. That’s it! Well that was my first live experience and I was hooked!
