| The MTT Scene – IPOY Special |
, Internettexasholdem.com has introduced the most exciting tool to enhance online MTT play – the first-ever Internet Player of the Year Rankings. These rankings include all of the largest online tournaments…with buy-ins from $109 to $1100, and prize pools as high as $1 million (or more!). This special version of the MTT Scene lists all of the weekly, monthly, and annual tournaments that make up the Player of the Year rankings. Detailed lists of satellites to the various tournaments are also included.
Listed below are each of the tournaments included in the rankings and satellites to each. Satellites in blue are multi-table tournaments with scheduled starts, red are sit-and-go tournaments, and black are freerolls (usually entered with frequent player reward points). Note that some tournaments return extra prize pool funds to non-qualifiers; only qualifying spots are noted. Absolute Poker - $100,000 Guaranteed Absolute Poker holds a Saturday afternoon bi-weekly tournament (4:30 pm ET) that guarantees a $100,000 prize pool. Buy-in is $162 (150+12). First place normally returns $25,000. Players start with 2500 chips, blinds of 10/20, and blind increases are every 10 minutes.  Bodog Poker - $100,000 Guaranteed Bodog Poker's $100,000 Guaranteed tournament takes place every Sunday at 2:00pm ET. Buy-in is $109 (100+9). First place normally returns $25,000. Players start with 2500 chips and blinds of 5/10.  Full Tilt Poker - $200,000 Guaranteed Full Tilt Poker's weekly $200,000 Guaranteed tournament begins at 6:00 pm ET on Sundays. Ten minute levels, 2000 starting chips, and initial blinds of 15/30 make this a fast-paced tournament.  Paradise Poker - $150,000 Guaranteed Sundays at 5:00pm ET is the start time for Paradise Poker's weekly entry. Buy-in is $200. Paradise deducts 9% of the prize pool in all its tournaments for entry fees.  Party Poker - Friday Special and $200,000 Guaranteed Party Poker is the place to play on weekend nights. The Friday Special starts at 10:00pm ET, and the $200,000 Guaranteed starts at 10:00pm ET on Saturdays. Both tournaments cost $215 to enter, and use the same structure for qualifiers, which is detailed below:  Party Poker - $500,000 Guaranteed The $215 tournament is the premier weekly tournament in Party Poker's lineup. It starts every Sunday at 4:30pm ET.  Party Poker - $750,000 Guaranteed On the final Sunday of every month, the prize pool increases to $750K, and the buy-in increases to $378.  Party Poker - $1 Million Guaranteed This tournament is a monthly event, normally taking place on the third Saturday of the month at 430pm ET. Buy-in is $640.  Party Poker - Super Weekday Tournaments Despite not having guaranteed prize pools, these $162 tournaments normally pay out enormous prizes to many happy players. The tournaments start at 9:00pm ET. The Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday tournaments are in no-limit holdem, and the Wednesday tournament is played in fixed-limit holdem. This is the largest regularly scheduled limit holdem tournament on the internet.  Poker Room - Big Deal The Poker Room Big Deal tournament (available on all Poker Network sites) is a $300+20 MTT that begins at 2:00pm ET on Sundays. Although the prize pool is not guaranteed, it often exceeds $90,000.  PokerStars - $1 Million Guaranteed The most popular regular online tournament is the weekly Stars Million. It has gone through many changes recently as its popularity has grown. The prize pool guarantee has doubled in the last three months alone. This $200+15 tournament kicks off at 4:30pm ET on Sundays. On the last Sunday of the month, the buy-in is increased to $500+30, but the satellite structures are similar, as shown below (number of qualifiers refers to the $215 tournament):  UltimateBet - $100,000 Guaranteed The largest buy-in tournament on UB's regular schedule is this Sunday 3:00pm ET event.
