Instructions
  • This tool will calculate the bankroll needed, given your estimated hourly rate and standard deviation, at a given risk of ruin.
  • This will calculate in the units given. For example, if you give your hourly rate and standard deviation in terms of dollar amounts, then the bankroll calculated will be in dollar amounts. If you give your hourly rate and standard deviation in terms of the big bets, then the bankroll calculated will be in big bets.
  • You must enter your hourly rate and standard deviation, then either your current bankroll or your desired risk of ruin, and the calculator will calculate the other one.
  • Default Risk of Ruin is 5%. 
  • This assumes you will play at a given limit until you are broke. If you are willing to step down in limit when you lose, bankroll requirements can be reduced significantly.
