ITH MAKES IT'S MARK AT THE 2006 WORLD SERIES OF POKER

Though no bracelets were claimed at this year's World Series of Poker, theITH team can be proud of the 2006 WSOPaccomplishments of many of its esteemed players. Over the last several weeks, numerous players connected to ITH collected cash finishes in many of the 45 total events encompassing the WSOP Six loyal ITHers, led by author and ITH creator Matthew Hilger (pictured from left with friend and fellow poker pro Humberto Brenes), took home money in various WSOP events this year. Matthew did not waste any time in setting the bar high early on, building off WSOP momentum of the past two years by taking 14th place in Event 3 ($1,500 Pot-Limit Holdem) back in June. The cash in Event 3 was good for over 21K in winnings, and Matthew followed up his stellar early performance by collecting three more cashes in the following events: Event 11 ($1,500 Limit Holdem), Event 40 ($1,000 No-Limit Holdem) and Event 44 ($1,500 No-Limit Holdem). All told, he won over 48K during the 2006 WSOP festivities. Matthew truly ran the gamut - cashing in a limit, no-limit and pot-limit event during the 2006 WSOP!Matthew provided the ITH family - who religiously followed his progress throughout - with many memorable moments. Effective Implied Pot Odds

Many people like to throw around the term "implied pot odds." The problem is that there is sometimes confusion with the definition. Implied pot odds should include the amount of bets you expect to win from your opponent. Some say, or at least act in such a way, that implied pot odds include the amount of bets you could win from your opponent.
