I wonder if players like that are just bored with poker that they have to add more things like that to make it interesting, or whether they just have the urge to put action on everything in their lives.

I think it's a little bit of both. I would venture that most of them got gambler's blood in them and after playing thousands and thousands of normal hands of poker, this type of thing keeps them interested and their blood flowing.

In my opinion, it's dumb.

I seem to be working on that, no props needed!

I saw this, and was just amazed at how complicated it must all be. Like playing with my 82 year old aunt who just modifies game rules as you go.....

My head would explode waiting five minutes after every flop for the prop people to figure out their idiotic sidegame.

I know the rules of Omaha, but can't play it.
I know no other form of poker....

I have no clue about what he his talking about.

It's also ironic that he is bemoaning the horror of the downfall of poker, while simultaneously talking about the multiway prop bets that add the lottery factor to a real poker table.......
