I'm actually quite proud of this one - first time I've ever seen quads beaten never mind been on the receiving end!!

So next time Llan wants to whinge about how unlucky he is..........

    Re: Quads on turn.......

Oddly enough ... 55 is my favourite hand , mainly because i seem to hit more sets with it and ive hit quads with it a few times.

I obviously lost every time when i did hit quads so this thread is standard for me
There is a big misunderstanding between the concept of talent and skill, talent you have naturally but skill is only developed by hours and hours of beating on your craft... nobody got to where they were without hard work.

    Re: Quads on turn.......

    it is 0.05/0.10 or 10NL

Party recently upgraded their software and ever since then I've struggled converting hands - Cardrunners seems the closest to a decent result but even then it's not perfect.

Then again I don't like their new approach with "missions" - I think it's turning into the facebook of poker sites

Funnily enough I seem to have also hit quads more times with 55 than any other PP but I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

Incidentally, I did run into quads as well that night and lost a full 22c. SB limped into me with TT (I think I had 72o or else I would almost always have raised) and then checked the T high flop, called my steal attempt on the turn then checked the river when he hit his case T which I naturally checked behind If only he hadn't been so aggro before it would never have occurred to me he was slow playing!

Meh, you were behind when the money went in and you lost. Nothing to see here

SB bets $2.04 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.04

    Results: $10.24 pot ($0.51 rake)
    Final Board: 4 5 5 3 T
SB showed T T and lost (-$5.07 net)
    Hero showed 5 5 and won $9.73 ($4.66 net)

There is something about pocket 5s that they seem to hit quads more often than any other hand

Interesting point about the $0.05/$0.05 at the top of the HH - it took me a while to realise that I'm actually running much better than I thought because PT counts a BB as $0.05 so my BB/100 stat has been around the 6.5 mark rather than 13!
