    Happy New Year

A great way to start the year with my record score. Only my 2nd session of 2013 after a nice long break over Christmas. I was so burnt out in December and determined not to come back before I was looking forward to playing poker again.

I ran hot and accumulated a big stack in the middle stages, then rode it to the FT. Once at the Final Table I was thinking how unusually weak the remaining opponants were. 3x, 4x and 7x raises were the standard! Once I'd avoided being sucked out by the maniac the stack sizes were perfect and I just ran over the table short handed. A rare luxury these days. Then when it gets to heads up we have a standard Stars allin to inflict maximum stress to the players.

One of my main goals for 2013 is a 5 figure score. Not quite there yet, so I just need to repeat this in a TCOOP now!

    Sweet!

Those little colours next to some of the players names means you've tagged them, right? And possibly made a note? In which case... did you make a note against yourself saying 'This is me' in case you were playing when cripplingly drunk?

Green was always the universal colour for a fish as well wasn't it?

    Well done Zenjo, great score.

    Hmm ...
There is a big misunderstanding between the concept of talent and skill, talent you have naturally but skill is only developed by hours and hours of beating on your craft... nobody got to where they were without hard work.

I use Red for fish but it could be green as well. I tagged myself because it makes it easier to tell if I've been knocked out the tournament and replaced by another player! I have player images disabled and it's hard to keep up sometimes with 16 tables on the go.

I wish people would pay attention ...

I clearly stated i had won 131bb in my only session of the year so far... so we can knock off $13 from that total for starters

Plus .. knowing Stars ... Zenjo has Grim on his back after winning so early in the year ... I could be ahead by now !!

The last 2 days I've hardly been able to win a pot and down $1.7k. I was actually laughing at the end of the session last night because I kept calling out what the opponant needed to hit and it kept coming up. I always imagine this is what Stars is like for you, except 3 times as often as everyone else.

I may defect from my own thread and come here before Dogs.

Clearly another one that doesn't pay attention.

I see this as more of a rival thread. Zenjo appears to be the yin to your yang.

I pay attention - I just assumed the next session would have seen you lose it all back with AK.

Of course I wasnt taking into account your current inactivity
