I'll be playing some cash games at the Borgata next week and on to Vegas the week after.

Inspired by The Shark and his Vegas trip, I played three tourneys tonight. Cashed in two of them to see a return of a whopping $2.50 an hour. Who needs a job, eh?

(regarding the job, I'm being quite coy about it over on FB because of some of the people I have as friends, but I am actually seeking employment. A couple of roles have come up with my specialist skill for the first time since I was given the chop, so I'm sticking my name in the hat because I'm not sure I really have much of a plan B at the moment. I did apply for a contract position about a month ago, but missed out because the recruitment agency was beyond inept and sat on my application for a week. And I applied for a mediocre job with mediocre pay back at my old place, but wasn't shortlisted because someone there doesn't seem to understand the value of 15 years of business knowledge. If I could somehow monetise getting fit, I'd be on the road to riches. Back in the real world... well, I've got my health, and I don't have to hit the panic button just yet.)

Heh, just went to my profile page because I had an alert of a spammy Visitor Message, and realised that I've just missed my 10 year ITH anniversary. It's been nice seeing some of the ghosts of ITH past pop up on nside's posts in my newsfeed.

Ive been saying for weeks that im going to make my poker comeback ..

Ive been working my arse off sorting out a new system in my Cardiff job and getting things to run much much better.

By the end of the week i will have finally got to where i want to get to and this opens a window of opportunity to get back into my poker.

Im going to give it one last chance and this time i will give it a huge go ... im expecting to shock a few people with what i achieve.

Im also in London Dogs on the 2nd to the 4th with my missus if you want to meet up .. ive not been in London town for over 20 years and will be sight seeing and going around places i used to live and work etc for old times sake.
There is a big misunderstanding between the concept of talent and skill, talent you have naturally but skill is only developed by hours and hours of beating on your craft... nobody got to where they were without hard work.

Shouldn't you be talking trash about football?

Nothing new has happened ... England choking at a major tournament is standard stuff

Is this the furthest Wales have gone in a Euro?

For anyone excited by the prospect of a Llan and Dogs meet, I've had to remind him that I don't actually live in London.

Whether he made it there may depend on how carried away he got with the football last night.

    That is somehow perfect.

That feeling when you reach a final table... only to realise that it's the $3 tourney you fired up just to add a table, and that your ROI isn't going to convert into hard cash...
