Took some cracking beats today ... 3 of them with AK ( all 3 were really bad beats ) and one huge 260bb pot when we where all in with AA v JJ ... he rivered a J

But ..... i hung in there, although the AK<77 on a KK7 flop nearly caused a earthquake.

Played 8191 hands so far ... and the return to FR has yielded a nice 20.43bb/100 hands after 4639 hands.

Slightly below pace for 100k hands this month ... but its going to happen !!
There is a big misunderstanding between the concept of talent and skill, talent you have naturally but skill is only developed by hours and hours of beating on your craft... nobody got to where they were without hard work.

Things cannot seriously be turning around can they .... well can they ! !!!!!

Just played for an hour or so and 833 hands and missed with virtually every two high cards i had throughout ... just kept on raising and missing the flop... and then losing every 99-JJ to over cards.

Did flop the nut straight to crack QQ with 86s but he should not be playing for stacks on that flop.

I lost both all in preflops with KK<AQ and QQ<A9 ... and still managed to be break even and NOT LOSE MY RAG !

Best session ive had in terms of focus and keeping my head mentally for ages..

    Update - after day 4

    Total Hands - 11596

    Target - 12903

    Difference - ( 1307 )

Not too bad so far, if i carry on at this rate i will beat my best monthly volume on Stars since October 2012 after 8 days.

Next step is to start to work on my whinging during a session ... im constantly bemoaning stuff even when im having a good session ... it just spoils it somewhat.

So im going to concentrate on this for the next week and look to put in the same volume but really focus on my temperament, hopefully once i start to get used to this volume then things will become easier.

Just to cheer you up I did have 2 sets/FHs counterfeited last night.

    22 v TT on a board 23x 3 3
and QQ v KK ran out AQx A A

Ive had some proper beats this year already ... im just trying not to post most of them

Had a pretty crappy session today ... ended up break even but lost to a bunch of sets etc and so many boards run out truly bad.

My latest pet hate is just not improving any equity post flop ... i know im behind but a ton of cards will improve my equity and im just seeing such rubbish turn cards etc.

I can accept that somewhat if when i have top two and the board is drawy then the turn is just the picture perfect worst card , i just end up thinking WTF.

Worst thing of all was i lost my discipline again ... in reality i should be happy i leave those sessions level .. just cannot expect to run at 10+bb/100 every session.

    More work to do ..

Im glad i bring you joy ..

Everything at the moment is in some kind of transitional period ... unlike Moyes who is just plain $hit.

Im slowly getting used to putting the hours in ... still working on not blowing up each session or reaction badly to the odd crappy hand every now and again .. slowly its getting there.

Only played 2341 hands today .. but today was hard work .. still ran at nearly 19bb/100 but almost all the bigger wins where with AA or KK .... just could not improve post flop at all today ... really was a weird day.

Still ... 13937 hands after 5 days is a good as a start as ive had to a month, running at nearly 16bb/100 at FR over more than 10k hands.

Surely this is a plus as without Man United or FF to distract you there should be no stopping your poker career

This adventure has a different feel to it, this time the Titanic makes it all the way to Supernova !

Only managed 553 hands in one session so far, been out most of the day and the snooker season re-started tonight.

Going to try and put in at least one session tonight.

The plan for the week is to do as much paperwork as i can throughout the day and play 3 90 minute poker sessions in the evenings.

Its a tough ask, but as long as i finish up all my work by Friday then ill be happy and will start the running and gym work back on Monday and will really concentrate on catching up my poker volume then.

    Cliffs:

    1. Update and finish all work by Friday

    2. Put as many poker sessions is as possible in between work.

    3. Play 100k hands this month regardless.

    4. Profit

    5. Where is Dogs with the moral support ?

    6. Does hawk post any words that do not start with LOL ( United ) lately ?
