Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum although I have been playing online for quite a bit, this post is to ask you for advice. Lately I have been playing a lot of heads up sit and gos; and I am actually doing pretty good in normal pace heads up, but when i play in turbo heads up, my winning % is dropping like hell, I have actually tried to figure out why this is happening and I think that this is because I am getting extremely over aggresive in turbos, Does any of you have any opion on what are the necessary adjustments to switch from normal heads up play to turbo heads up play????

I'm sure I don't have to tell you that a small fall in your winning % is to be expected as turbo's always reduce any skill advantage. That's the price you pay for the extra games and lower rake.

Maybe you're worrying too much about the blind levels increasing and turning it into push/fold, and playing too aggresively to try and end it quickly?

Yes, I know the skill factor should drop a bit because of the blinds growing up faster, but actually what i have noticed is a lot of people playing push-fold turbo heads up, and I mean it, they just push with top pair or any kind of decent draw as a semibluff, and I end up calling with the best hand most of the time but still losing due to bad luck or simply because my opponent hit his 12 out draw... I know on the long run this should not be a problem, but I was wondering if you have any kind of advise on how to play these hyper aggressive opponents I have found in the turbos...

Thanks again

I have found, at least in the low limit HU SnG's it doesn't matter if it is turbo or not. I think this is due to the action junkies getting board after 5 or ten min. and getting way too much money in the pot for the blind level that they are at.

I love these players because I can just see them squirming around in there chairs.

I am actually playing 50 and 55 sngs, and at these levels it seems to be a huge difference, at least for me. But, all in all i agree you have to pay the turbo price (faster blinds) because it reduces skill factor a bit.

Do you guys have any strategy that seem to work fine for these levels in turbo heads up sit and gos?
