You could argue folding the pre-flop. You have 3 connected cards, with a dangling 8. Further, 3 of a suit is worse than 2 of a suit, which decreases the value of the clubs. But, it is not a bad call if you can let go of it without a 9Tx flop or a flopped straight, etc.

On the flop, you are certainly behind. If utg has a set, you are in awful shape. If 2 pair, you are in good shape. If he has a pair and higher flush draw - bad shape again. Given that CO is still to act, I think I just let this go. In general, you want either the nuts or a draw to the nuts to continue.

Thanks for the reply, Elmo. I've only just started trying PLO out and so far I like it. It's definitely a change from HE. One think I've noticed is that the avg pot size is larger. I'm gonna play a bit more and see what happens.

Now I don't play much PLO, but does the fact that it is 6-handed make it closer to a call?

Like I said, I don't play much PLO, but this was a random thought I had and figured I'd throw it out there.
