Villain is a rock:4/6/7 (40 hands). On an earlier hand he open-raised KJs from EP, then capped. His Tight agro image coupled with his loose(?) raise on the previous hand make this a difficult read. I decided to call down.

UTG cap range would probably be JJ-AA, AK

Given that you have 2 of the Kings, the odds of him having AK or KK are severely diminished.

While you were beating QQ and JJ before; that's no longer the case. That said, the flop call is fine as you have a backdoor diamond draw and backdoor straight draw, as well has possibly being ahead of AK/TT. The turn continues your backdoor diamond draw so it's an easy call. The river, unfortunately is giving you 10:1 and easily enough to call.

Preflop.

With super premium hands like AA and KK I'm hyper-agg Preflop and very-agg on the flop. After that I'll slow down and try to read things a little more. I'll make exceptions for cases when an A flops or when the board is super coordinated. I'm very confident I have the best hand preflop and fairly confident on the flop, after that things are up for grabs.

I think your 3 bet PF is a no brainer. The fact that your opp caps doesn't worry me much. In general this opp could have a range of AJ+ or TT+ or he could be mental case. Based on your history with this opp it sounds like he enjoys making wtf type PFReR, including caps. So we have allow for a very wide range of hands for this opp.

Heading into the flop the worst card is an A, the best card is a K. This is a big pot, we won't be slowplaying this hand.

The Flop.

This is an OK flop for us. We are worried about JJ, QQ and AA. But our opp could just as easily have AK, or AQ, maybe even AJ -- or given his history something even trashier. When UTG bets I like raising. With a big pot I'd rather drive out the BB, no cheap cards to draw out.

You just call and the BB stays along for the ride. With the size of this pot he is right to call here with a wide variety of hands, even a gutshot.

Overall I like raising the flop in this spot in general. I like raising even more given that the pot is big.

The Turn.

The 9d could have filled a straight or a flush. Let's hope that we didn't just give the BB a card to beat us. Although I would have raised the flop, I'm now equally worried about giving cheap cards as being currenlty beat. I think a call here is ok. If there is a raise behind I'll strongly consider foldling. If there is a raise then re-raise before it gets back, I'm done.

You call -- I think that's ok. The BB also calls, interesting.

The River.

I don't think the river card matters. If our opp had QJ we just outdrew him, if had a 9 he just outdrew us -- both are pretty unlikely. When UTG bets I think a call is in order, afterall we do have an overpair.

Summary.

I would have preferred a raise on the flop. Other than that I like the way you played the hand.
