I want to get some "free" software from Poker Pro Labs, but it's only free if I sign up for an account with Titan Poker (or a couple other places). How does this work? It says minimum deposit $30, and 50 required raked hands. Does that mean I could just sign up, put $30 in, go to a low-limit game and fold every hand until I'm there to see 50 raked hands happen?

Or if I have to be in on the hand, could I theoretically make a minimum bet on 50 hands, and then cash out?

Anyone done this before with Titan Poker? What way makes sense, assuming I'm a mediocre poker player (probably long-term loser at the moment).

Assuming that you want to become a better poker player, why not play to win? You're guaranteed to lose if you are just folding your hands to complete the requirement, but have the potential to win if you actually play. Then if you lose, you can post the hands here and we'll try to give you some good advice.

You have a good point. And in the long run, I am in it to learn how to be a winning player.

I really prefer sit+gos to cash games, though, and it sounds like to meet the requirements I would need to play cash games. If my hole cards were AA or KK or even QQ I imagine I would have a hard time not betting, but my worst case scenario would be busting out before I reach the bonus requirements and not getting the free software...

Here's a link to the page that describes what I need to do: (oops, can't post links yet)
Looking under the "Titan Poker" option on pokerprolabs dot com:
Deposit Bonus: 100% up to $500 FREE
Minimum Deposit: $30
Required Raked Hands: 50
Minimum Table Stakes: Any

So, using the terminology from the FAQ, would the 50 raked hands be referring to "dealt rake" or "contributed rake"? Also, is there a pot minimum?

Or, how can I find out?

I'm trying to work out how much trouble this would be to do. If it takes a couple hours and I get to play some poker, cool. If it's like a 30 hour ordeal and I have a good chance of busting out before I reach the requirements, I think I'd rather just buy the software for cash.

EDIT: Ok, I emailed support at pokerprolabs. Here's what they say:

Thank you for your email.
That's correct. You can play any limit you want.
A raked hand is any hand where you posted a blind or a bet.

I think I'm gonna go for it...

EDIT2: Nevermind, Titan Poker disallows Americans. Sad
