(Since I posted this in the wrong forum and no one moved it, I'm reposting it myself in an effort to get some feedback...)

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 17000 Tournament, 150/300 Blinds 25 Ante (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button (t2187)
SB (t3295)
BB (t6960)
Hero (UTG) (t2935)
UTG+1 (t20745)
MP1 (t43830)
MP2 (t5255)
CO (t13219)

Hero's M: 4.52

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs
Hero ????

I don't really like this spot, because I feel like my stack is just a little too big to push here, which is most likely gonna just win me the blinds.

I'm thinking that I need to maybe increase my variance with this hand and this stack size by going for a limp-reraise. Obviously the risk and reward are both greater with that, as opposed to a normal preflop push.

I'm still committed to getting all my chips in the middle on this hand, no matter how it plays out preflop.

It's a risky play, but with my stack size, isn't this the time for risky plays?

Thoughts?

The really unfortunate thing here is that the SB/BB are short-mid stacks and won't be able to risk a call with a less than stellar hand.

I'm for an open limp here definitely...You're going to get it in preflop versus any hand that would've called your push (they'll probably raise your limp.)

I'd limp unless I've been really active and I expect that the table is looking to pick me off. But if I've been quiet I'd limp for sure.

I'm not sure I'd limp reraise unless any raiser was committed to call me (which he probably would be in this spot) If he wasn't you could just open shove the flop or c/r allin on the flop if the stacks are a bit bigger.

That reminds me of the wsop event I played this summer. I had been relatively short and stolen the blinds like twice in the past 7 or 8 hands, and then I got AA!!!!

I pushed preflop, even though my stack was a bit too big for a push, just praying that someone would read that as a steal, but, alas, no one called. Sad

As for this hand, I limped, the button and the blinds called. I pushed a Jxx flop and got called by the button with KJ. Of course the river was a K.

In the modern world you get called so often by bigger stacks I would just push. I doubt that you give up that much by limp-shoving.

I'd shove it. The table is expecting you to push with just about any 2 cards in this spot so you are likely getting at least one caller.

If we were lp, I'd agree...i certainly don't put a UTG 10BB push at "any 2 cards."
