From page 133 - Impact of Stack Sizes
The blinds are $15-$30 early in a tournament. An opponent raises to $75 and you look down at 44. Your opponent has $300 in chips. You have $1500 in chips. Can you call?
If I understand this correct you are calling $75 to win a possible $345. Blinds plus your opponents total stack of $300. Wouldn't this make the implied odds 4.6 to 1?
In the book it says "calling is dubious because the maximum implied pot odds are only about 5.5 to 1 and the odds of hitting your set are 7.5 to 1"
I am wondering what I am doing wrong as I can't come up with 5.5:1 odds anyway I work on this problem.
