I have just been told 3 DAYS before I’m due to leave that I now need to give a new business presentation on Monday, meaning my whole trip to Vegas this year won’t be happening, at least during the WSOP.
I am being reimbursed for my flights and hotel, and still get the rest of the time off, but it’s no consolation really, I’m properly gutted. I spoke to a friend of mine in HR and she assures me they are perfectly within their rights to do whatever they want with my holiday time.
I have been getting really pumped up reading the trip reports and talking to various people via PM about next week. Instead of being in Vegas I’ll probably be sitting around the house now with nothing to do.
Looks like I’ll have to win my first bracelet in 2009 instead. |

You could always delay your trip until after the presentation and be there to rail the Main Event  |

Oh man that sucks, especially since you were so close to heading out... not much will really set things right at this point... just have to suck it up I suppose.
Perhaps win a big online MTT instead? Hope to see you there next year and we'll party it up again. |
