Finally!

Took down a 60 person tourney at the local casino tonight for 1100. I didn't get good cards: AK 4 times or so (shoved the majority of those), and won two races, JJ>AK and KT>77. My best pair was QQ, and I got no callers with that one.

Look out, Colorado, when I actually get good pocket pairs. Twisted Evil

Some interesting facts about the night:

Not once did I see a turn without someone being all in.

Due to strange circumstances, I never put in a standard raise on limpers. It was always all-in.

I never paired on the flop.

I probably came close to a record for all-ins: I would guess around 20.

I'd agree, but I was only called 3 times, when I had AK, TT, and KT. Bucha wussies up there. Razz

That sounds pretty typical for how these low-buyin turbo tourneys play. I played one at the MGM last December and I don't think I played a hand postflop after the first 30 mins. It was strictly push-fold the rest of the way. I finished 2nd.

Congrats, by the way.

Nice job. Sounds like some good play to me. You recognized the situation and pushed/folded when it was the proper play.

Good one!
