The question may be silly, but which should be the first book on tournament play to read?

I play SNGs and MTTs from time to time and mostly for fun, and I don't really look forward to reading three volumes of HOH for a start. Is there a good alternative to improve a limit player's tournament play? Maybe Snyders' tournament formula? Or is this one too advanced?

Edit: Or maybe "Kill Phil"?

Start with HOH I and then HOH II.

HOH III is an exercise book.

I read Kill Phil and they explain a system that you can use to play in tourneys. I think that anyone who follows their advice and does not progress will be seriously handicapped in their play.

HOH are really the books you want to read on sng and mtt play.

Well I hardly play tourneys at all and I found them a joy to read, if that counts for anything.

There's also Tournament Poker for Advanced Players, which I thought was a fairly light read. I read it before HOH, but I'd honestly recommend HOH as a starting point, FWIW.

That counts quite a lot.

Since everyone advises me to read HOH I'll do it, but first I have to work my way through two more books on limit hold'em.

Thank you for your opinions.
