I wouldn't have believed it, unless I had actually seen it in my own home.
My almost 17-year old watched TV and Video Tapes and played Video Games as he grew up.
My 9 year old hardly does any of those, although we have every piece of electronics made by man.
If my 9 year old wants to watch Naruto or Total Drama Island or any other of his toons, he sits down at his computer in the Kitchen and does so. Apparently all cartoons are "on demand" over the internet nowadays.
And if he wants to play a video game, he sits down at his computer where there are 10 gadzillion free flash games like Fantastic Contraptions or all the ones at "Additinggames.com"
And if he wants to read a comic book. Then he sits down at his computer where there are online videos of each frame of a comic book with a simple video wipe between pics. I kid you not. No audio, No animation. Just sequential frames from a comic book.
In his "off hours" he may watch TV or play with the wii or read a naruto book. But primarily hit sits at a computer.
The ol' TV sits dormant for days at a time. And the video games collect dust.
