So all, due to my impending move I had to take an early leave from my shitty sales job, which left me with time to get back to the online felt. As of yesterday I had built my bankroll from $100 to $450 playing $5 SNG's and $2/$3 MTT's. I then dipped last night and today to about $400, and normally this is where I would get anxious and just cash out $300 and start over again. Now I arguably need the money more than ever as the fiancee and I are packing up our shit and trucking coast to coast to settle down in DC, and $300 would give us gas to like Wyoming...but whatever. We've saved enough and I don't need to dip into the poker well.
So I'm officially committing to get outside of my comfort zone a ltitle bit. I'm going to start playing exclusively < $5 MTT's, and a 25/75 split of $10 and $5 SNG's, respectively. Not too big a change really. Once I reach $500 I'll break through into exclusively $10 SNG's and $5 MTT's. From there...who knows? But I'm not touching my poker funds and am going to truly test myself at the $10 level. I've been there, splashed around, and found some success so I shouldn't fear playing at that level as a standard and leaving behind the $5 crowd; once I get an adequate roll of $500, it's exactly what I'm going to do. Of course, if the BR takes a hit and I get to around $250, I'll just revert to my old system of playing a maximum of 2 $5 SNG's at a time and the occasionaly juicy looking <$5 MTT.
It'd definitely time to test myself. Why not? While I thuroughly enjoy playing the $5 SNG's (...been doing it for like 3 years steady...), I believe it's time to move on. Wish me luck all.

You will find little no difference in the skill level between $2 MTTs and $5 or $10 MTTs so don;t get your self psyched out. Just make sure you follow BR guidelines that you are comfortable with and drop down if necessary so you don't end up going broke and then really regretting it.
Good-luck, hopefully you run well and hit a big score right off the bat.
