Seems they have added a bridge between the $1 and $5 games by adding a $3.40 non-turbo 9 player game. These should be good for those of us on a shorter roll. That plus the rake is better than the $1.20 games.

In addition they added these in non turbo 18 and 27 player sngs.

Now that I look, they also added $1.20 27 player game as well.

It's about friggin time, I've always been annoyed by the fact that you had to jump from $1 to $5 if you didn't want to play turbos. I'm definitely going to try these for a while.

Let me know what you think of these games after you get a few in. They are a bit tighter than the $1.20 games I can already tell.

77 minutes and I busted out in 4th. Sad

I can easily see why turbos are so popular.

I have noticed a big difference between $1 and $5, so it's not surprising that there would be a difference at $3. The major difference is that there aren't as many fish willing kill themselves off so quickly.

Played one of these for the first time last night. The play was pretty terrible and I needed things to go my way in several confrontations, but I was still able to come out on top. I definitely plan to use these as a roll building intermediate step before the $5's.

Play is pretty bad. High blind limper type limps and Im getting short stacked but picked up 99. Easy push (8bb"s) and villian snap called with some crap like J8o and hit his overcard to take me out. Razz

These should be real good for building up a roll but they all take around 70-80 mins. Sad

I can play at least 2 18-player turbos in that time and the play is even worse. ($1.75 18 man)

It balances out, though. The play in turbos may be worse, but you have less time to get cards to take advantage of the poor play. Personally I think our skill advantage is greater over weak competition in non-turbos.
