Has anyone played one of these yet? Is it a good use of 5k FPPs? It seems like it would be, 1M prizepool, 12k players - 1 in 3 get paid so the flat structure kind of sucks.

I played the first one they ran, cashed in the 2nd or 3rd payout level. Play was as bad as you'd expect in a turbo FPP tournament with lots of sat entires, plus there was a little overlay (only about 11K runners, as I recall).

From a $/hr perspective, I think the 5400 FPP million sats might be better (10-man SNGs that pay 4), especially if you can multi-table them and if you have a lot of FPP to convert. OTOH, I've been angling for Supernova all this time mostly to get the concierge or new 250K FPP/$4000 bonus because the exchange rate on those is such that it's probably not worth the time to play the FPPs to convert them.

I've played in 2 or 3 of these. I defintiely think that in FPP terms playing this 5k is more +ev than using the 5k points to get a bonus.

You should be able to just cash ~50% of the time. When cashing you get $90 for 5k FPP which translates to $.009 /FPP.

Getting the $1.5k bonus the 5k FPP is = to $75 or $0.015

So I'd definitely say it's worth it.

Note, that going my suggested route with the Million sats gets you $T, which are worth slightly less than $ if you don't normally play tourneys in the first place.

It's about 2 hours I think.

But it's very easy to play other stuff with it just going along.
