As many of you may have read, I am returning to poker after a year off. I left myself $10 at UB when I cashed out last year, and have been playing .01/.02 NL with it for the last week. I feel I have my discipline back, and I am able to take the game seriously, even at those stakes.

So, I was thinking perhaps I could rebuild quicker with a staking arrangement.

My proposal: I would like to play .10/.25 NL at stars. The max buy-in being $25. So I need $500 to play at this level. So I would be interested in selling $500 worth of stakes with $5 increments.

My goal would be to play until I doubled up, or busted out, and then pay out the investors.

Upon busting out, you lose all your money.

Upon doubling up, you receive a 40% ROI. I will give 10% of the profits to Colombianitos, and keep 50% for myself.

Doubling up is based on winnings only, and my pending bonus at Stars is mine to keep to add to my bankroll after the staking arrangement is over.

My history: I have built up from scratch twice since starting the game in 2003. Once from $25, and once from $100. I was very responsible with bankroll management, and never busted out. Both times I made it to 5/10 limit ($2500 BR) in under 4 months.

I have played winning poker in limit, and NL ring games and NL SnGs. I am a winning player at MTTs, but have played too few to know how much of that is just variance. My ring game profitability seems to extend from, 10 to 5 player games. I think I am a loser in tough 4 handed and under games.

My NL ring games have spanned .01/.02 NL to 5/10 NL, with my most profitable (in bb/100) being .5/1 NL 6-max at party back when US players could play there.

I was a winner in Limit games up to 15/30, and 10/20 6-max. This shouldn't matter, as my plan is to stick with small stakes NL for the staking arrangement, but I thought it might matter to folks who don't know me from back in the day.

I was successful at SnGs up to $109, and managed to play my way up to and cash in a Step Higher 2 SnG.

My best MTT finish was first in a couple ITH events and 9th in the $10 rebuy event at Stars.

I made popular 53o.

I think this arrangement is +EV for all involved.

I am a winning player at Foxwoods 1/2 NL and 5/10 limit with a kill. I played too little in vegas to make any claims there, but I was dead money in the ITH Convenition Tourneys.

Well this has to be the best deal in town.

I'd take the rest but I'd feel too greedy (see nuke's post Wink )

I'll pick up $100 and anything else that doesn't sell... but I think it is very unlikely that will happen.

I'll take whatever I can get.

I have inside information that Nuke is very unlucky and so is anyone who plays with his stake money. Razz

Lets see, I assume bigredchef is in for $25, nuke for $250, taz for $100, nside for either $100 or $250 ($100 in free money is a $250 stake).

Assuming that Nside is in for $100, that makes it $475. I am happy to let the staking drift up to $600, with the same deal in place, and lower my ROR, alhtough it may take a little longer to double up if the initial stake pledgers are ok with htis, as this allows a little more room for toronexti and bullajami. Although barring Nuke seems to be a possible prudent move with Bull's inside info. Wink

So if my numbers are right, and the initial stake pledgers are ok with it, the deal will be:

bigredchef: $25
nuke: $250
tax: $100
nside: $100
toronexti and bullajami can split up to $125

payout is original stake +40%, providing the likely scenario of me not busting out, and 10% to charity, once I have doubled up.

I am happy to have railbirds and provide HH to any backers at any time. I will post updates on my progress as the news is newsworthy, or as often as anyone requests. My stars name is robrobrob, and the money is transferable as soon as you are all happy with the arrangement. I will be single tabling mostly, or occasionally two tabling if I have a good feel for the tables. I will not be 3 tabling or higher, as I just don't enjoy it.
