long time member, not much of a poster and looking for a stake. Figured it can't hurt to see if anyone is interested.
Had pretty good success back in the party skin days with bonus wh*ring and playing micro stakes NL ring as a huge nit.
Since Party and neteller went down for U.S., I find it difficult to remain structured when I play. I'll deposit 100.00 and practice poor bankroll management with chaotic results. Ill either lose my roll trying to run it up. Run it up big (1-2k range) hit a small downswing and chase losses by playing too high (5-10)and lose it. Few times I have run it up and cashed out. Despite this obvious leak, ive still been a marginal winner in 08, only because I've managed to cash out before I tilt and play too high.
Anyways, I know I can play NL Holdem well enough to be +EV in low buyin tourneys, but I have lacked the discipline to grind on a 100.00 roll. A stake would prevent me from playing outside of tourney's and would give me some structure and someone to answer to.
Ive only played 124mtt's on stars in 2008(yeah for sample size) but here are my OPR stats as well as my best finishes.
Prizes- 2897
Profit - 1549
ROI - 115%
Avg. Buyin - 11
AFS (what does this stand for?) 700
R/A - 6%
ITM - 13/124 or 10%
out of about 40 12/180's I have 3 1st place finishes and a 4th place finish.
out of 4 3 dollar rebuys I have cashed in 3, including a 9th place finish (came in 2nd in chips and really should have closed that one out).
Again obviously the sample size is super small. I have 11,000 hands of pokertracker data available for examination as well. 7000 at NL100 6 max.
So whos coming with me, besides flipper here??????

Average Field Size
Not really a big enough sample size for me to stake you.
You may want to consider giving us a breakdown of how much you want to be staked, and what you wish to play as it's not too clear from your post. Take a look at the threads running at the moment started by Cript or Mash and you'll get the idea.
Even something like 'Looking for a $500 stake to play 50 x $10 tournies with 100% backing split 80/20 in favour of the backer' would help.
I knew my chances were pretty slim at getting a stake, but its definatly a friendly group here compared to most other poker forums, Im pretty sure I would have been laughed off 2+2 already.
My intentions with the OP was to find a single backer who would help me come up with a structure of what tourneys I would play.
If I had to come up with my own staking arrangement. How bout 50 tourneys at 4/180 which would be a 100% stake of 220.00.
In my experience, it is better to say something like "I would like to play xx amount of tournaments for a total of $xxx.xx." and sell out shares. If it's a smaller amount, you may find some people willing to give you a small stake (I would be willing to stake a smaller amount, provided you gave some more information about what you plan to do, how you plan to pay it out). People may remain skeptical, however, and I suppose you can't blame them. Not a knock against you, of course.
