I played 2 Sit & Gos ($0.25+$0.02 at Doyle's Room... real high roller!) and busted out in 6th both times. Both times I think it was a bonehead move I shouldn't have made.
So why not, I couldn't do worse if I played another one could I? I ended up in 3rd when I pushed with top pair and OESD and backdoor flush draw and the other guy hit a full house. Not fabulous, but I didn't feel it was a complete botch like the first two.
At this point, why not play a fourth one? I ended up in the money after hanging around 5th or 6th most of the time, picking up a couple big hands, and then knocked the shorty out with my 55 vs. his K9o.
The other guy who was left was a worthy opponent. He was, in my opinion, not aggressive enough to be really scary, but he refused to roll over and die when I tried to push him around. When we went heads-up I had 8,170 and he had 9,830. We played 38 hands heads up with neither of us gaining a significant advantage, till this happened.
UnderARock has 8370
SB has 9,630
Blinds are 400/800
I had .
SB completed and I checked.
Flop: Pot is 1,600.
UnderARock bets 800. SB raises to 4,000. UnderARock raises all-in to 7570 and SB calls.
The pot is 16,740.
Turn:
River:
SB had .
On the next hand he had 1,260 and . I put him all-in with 22 and picked up a 2 on the flop and a 2 on the river. But these quads were an anticlimax next to the glory of 53o displayed on the penultimate hand of the tournament.
