shoving here doesn't make sense since you'd be pushing 8k into a 2.4k pot. Just raise to like 2-2.5k and call an AI. You should be able to take it down with that weak lead though. If you get called shoving the turn is perfectly fine.

When choosing a line youhave to look at the size of the pot compared to the bet size that you choose. After the CO bets the flop the pot is 2475 and you shove in 8700. That is a huge overbet and it gives information about your range. It is not very likely that you would shove here if you had a strong made hand so your big overshove gives your opponent some information about your range.
As toro said, make a standard sized bet or raise and it will increase the chance that your opponent folds.
