As villian is quite passive and not likely to bet his draws I expect to see QT here often so I think the river bet/fold is the right move.

OOP, I prefer to lead the flop there. It will get called by worse, and if he's passive, he'll generally only raise very strong hands here, which in his eyes may be any king.

Checking the flop here just makes the hand tough to play, and the whole reason you get to this tough river spot is because of your flop through turn play.

vs a passive player, I think betting the flop and a blank turn OOP is superior to checking, while river would then be a very easy check-fold situation had villain called on both flop and turn.

I do not like bet folding that river, and if played different this would be a very easy check-fold since you cannot get value of worse hands by betting, and I do not think you ever get bluffed here. But as played, it does hold some merits, since villain may even just call with a 7.

What I do not like much here is the small turn bet. In spots like these you generally only get 1 street of value vs draws, so if he's drawing or floating, you want to make sure that you get in more value vs those. In short, a bet of $4 will probably get called just as often as a $6 bet, but reduces villain's drawing odds decently.

I suppose villain could have KJ.

Villain is passive but not over many hands. It does look like Hero is beat on the river and villain could have QT, 22 or 77 here. Villain might even have just called with JJ pre-flop.

I might call this as villain has not played a lot of hands yet.
