This weekend I ordered some pizza for the family and set the box on my kitchen table. The pizza box/steam/grease left a white cloudy stain on our nice table.

I tried various cleaners and the stain reappears once the surface dries. I tired an oil based cleaner and it seemed to fade the stain a bit but it still came back?

Do any of you woodworking guys know of a solution? Using the oil based cleaner over and over again may do the trick but I'm not 100% sure.

I had this happen in my dorm room on this old wooden dresser after a towel dried on it. When I was bored I took a coin and scratched it off, it didn't come back but the wood got a bit scratched up, plus I didn't get rid of it 100%.

I was going to say WD40, But that's my usual answer to clean anything anyway, so use with caution.

Cover the whole table with $100 bills and then put a glass protection piece over it
