Recent Live Adventure

Instead of playing online of late I have transfered my bankroll to a “live one” and have been hitting my local casino in perth, australia playing 2/3NL (100/200 buyin). I play there quite often and the play is always very lose and gets deep by the end of the night. Apart from a few regulars on each of the tables there are always plenty of fresh fish to gamble away there big mining pay checks. I have been running seriously good the last month….until my recent visit when nothing went well.

A few keen hands early got me to a bad start

Hand 1- Raise 4 limpers in LP with JJ, re-raise allin from MP player who is extremely bad LAG (called some allins earlier with suited cards like 82, K5 ect) for another 60 or so. I call with no hesitations. He has A10o and hits A.

Hand 2- (Next hand to be precise) goes down exactly the same as hand one with same player except I have 88 and he has A9o…..First buy in gone

Hand 3-(2 hands later) Raise 3 limpers in MP with 99, standard 5 callers pot already 100 or so. Flop KhXdXd. EP bets out 25, Checks around. Turn 9h, EP checks and I bet out 50, he calls. At this stage all im worried about is the diamond flush draw. River xh for the heart flush. Buyin 2 gone.

Buy in only for 100 the 3rd time and nothing happens for an hour or 2, Push the last 15 in blind UTG for some laughs. Everyone calls . Checked out by everyone Board 99JJx, I look at my cards for the first time and see a 9….yessss. Another guy flips a J…oh well. Off to the atm.

Buyin 4- Nothing happening at the start then finally get TT on the button. 7 limpers and I raise to 25. BB calls, EP all-in for another 65 on top. Folds to me and I get caught up in having an actually hand. I only call thinking BB will fold anyways ( I definitely should have pushed to make certain) BB calls.
Flop JQK rainbow. Check Check. Blank turn and BB puts me in for my last 75. I do the best calculation of odds I can for the straight draw, Pot is 350 and I need to call 75. I think about it for awhile and a kicking myself but I fold. BB shows Q4….wtf and UTG has 88. I am already big time on tilt after the nights play( and in the back of my mind I am thinking about the pinapple that is waiting for my rear after the stock market collapse…thanks America) and the dealer ice’s it by rivering an A.

Next hand I have AJo and raise to 20 in LP. 4 callers. Pair my A on the flop and push in my last 50. Called by guy with KQ who paired his K. Rivers a Q…..

On my way to the car I kick myself about the TT hand, but know earlier on I just got very unlucky on the few hands I actually got. Good for me that my bankroll swelled by 20 buyins in the previous 3 trips. I will be back there for sure
