I am going to out myself here, and tell that I purchased a book from PXF recently because they offered 25 free training videos. It was the WPTOHT book, and there has not been any poker book that I've looked more forward to reading. Well, guess kharma caught my ass this time for not ordering it through ITH because even though I instantly paid PXF, the book has not made it to me. I understand errors, if there were any, but the lack of customer support they have exhibited through this nightmare is unbelievable.

On the 7th I ordered the book, and on the 20th I sent off a request asking about the order status since I had not yet seen the book, and only had received a order confirmation. The response was something about the book being sent on the 8th, and asking me if I had given them the correct address. I immediately responded to their email, and assured them the address was correct; I also requested some sort of tracking information so I could investigate on my end. So far, nothing, and I'm quite disappointed with their customer support.

/End Rant with this: Thank you ITH support for always being efficient with your members. I am very very frustrated over this silly little thing, and I can assure you, there are bigger things in my life going on than this. I guess I'm just feeling a little bit duped for not just sticking to my own people and ordering through ITH.

P

PS. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free.... I'm all ears, I just want that book!!!

The USPS sucks, FWIW, especially when it comes to media mail deliveries, which they just put on pretty much whatever truck they feel like at the time. I hate dealing with warehouse/shipping problems.

I'm assuming PXF will re-ship if they need to, hopefully they won't take too long to do conclude they need to do so.

I agree that USPS can suck, but so can anyone.

FWIW, I was getting a copy of Winning Poker Tournaments sent to me and USPS notified the sender that the label was found without the attached book.

But you know what? The significant other gets packages, even ones requiring signatures, sent to her through a non-USPS company and sometimes they end up just left on our front step.

USPS media mail doesn't provide tracking info. Books occasionally get lost. But in the grand scheme of things, this method of shipment is a lot cheaper and preferable for most customers, despite the occasional problem. If everyone started shipping UPS, then obviously shipping costs would go up.

Thanks for your help MH. They contacted me last night FINALLY telling me there had been a problem with their ordering system and that the book had indeed never left the warehouse.

As far as shipping methods go, I'm all for cheapest, and MM works well; I use it for sending my college books out when I sell them. They could send it by carrier pigeon for all I care, but they also need to have better communication with their customers so we don't feel like we are stuck on exile island

Just an update. After I posted here on Monday, I got an email around Wednesday saying that the book had indeed never left the warehouse. I did just receive the book in the mail today, which makes me quite happy. Once they did respond, I can't complain about the shipping time.

Thanks again MH for your help!
