You really feel the necessity of rubbing this into the wounds of us Americans, don't you?
I concur toffeeboy. I had accounts at Pokerroom and [the now defunct] Holdem Poker. I was on the threshhold of adding both EuroPoker and Hollywood Poker when the stupid morons in D.C. decided to "protect" me from myself.
I made a little over $1500 in bonuses between the two in 18 months as well as a handsome $2200 table profit playing predominantly $1/$2 fullring FL.
I'll be back someday. Either some enlightened politico will open the doors back to us Americans or I'll retire and move to the Bahamas. |

Are you asking in terms of setting up an address there?
Some networks like B2B, PartyGaming and some of the OnGame sites actually track your IP address. So even if you set up an account in the Bahamas then go home, you couldn't play there. If you set up an account there, you could easily fund it and only play while there. That would be viable.
Other sites don't track IP addresses, but I would give a word of caution to only play, once again, while out of the country. I wouldn't condone setting up a bogus address, funding a site, then playing from the US. Illegalities aside, if the poker site decided to track your ISP, they'll freeze your account and grab your money.
Even as an American citizen, you can play online or indeed, in the case of 18 year olds, live poker legally outside of the jurisdiction of the US. |
