PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: ITH Forums)

SB ($62.10)
BB ($53.45)
UTG ($25.70)
UTG+1 ($61.35)
MP1 ($29.90)
Hero ($52.40)
MP3 ($31.50)
CO ($49.25)
Button ($46.75)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with King of Diamonds, Ace of Hearts, Ace of Diamonds, 8 of Hearts.
3 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, MP3 calls $1.75, 4 folds.

Standard PF raise with AAKx double suited. I wish the 8 was higher, but can't have it all.

Flop: ($4.25) 10 of Clubs, 4 of Diamonds, 6 of Diamonds (2 players)
Hero bets $4.05, MP3 raises to $16.2, Hero raises to $50.65, MP3 calls $13.55 (All-In).

Heads up, I like my overpair + nut flush draw as a possibly good, possibly semi-bluff hand. Villian is shortstacking VERY aggressively, and I'm willing to get it all in here. I wasn't terribly surprised to get jammed. An overpair is almost a worthless hand in loose passive full ring, but it's worth a bet heads up.

As it turns out, I didn't have quite the equity I thought:

Turn: ($63.75) King of Hearts (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($63.75) 10 of Spades (2 players, 1 all-in)

But the ten saved me for a higher two pair. I don't like villian's jam there with bottom two. I do like villian's call preflop with Ace of Spades 4 of Spades 5 of Hearts 6 of Clubs . That is a good ace-cracker hand, but I want a flop with two spades and some sort of wrap straight draw.

Final Pot: $63.75

I like playing ace-cracker hands like that. When a tight player raises preflop (I was tight at that table, but only due to a cold run), AAxx hands obviously are a large part of their range (especially with an MP raise like mine was). Smooth calls with ace crackers make post-flop reads easier. With a flop like 2 of Spades 3 of Hearts Jack of Spades (best), or even 7 of Spades 8 of Spades 2 of Diamonds there, villian can comfortably jam and be way ahead of most of my range. Note jamming the low end of a wrap straight draw is dangerous with multiple opponents, but heads up against a very possible AAxx, you can safely do it.

Funny thing is, I regularly raise hands like Jack of Spades 10 of Spades 9 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds with position in order to isolate and make my flush draws more likely to be good by chasing out bad suited aces.
