    What's happening with the WSOP?

Are their any ITH'ers making runs? My co -worker is there playing in the Hi-Lo Omaha tourney today and hopefully tomorrow.

I guess not this year. That there are only half a dozen or so ITH'ers left probably doesn't help mind.

I'll be there for the Seniors also. Arriving June 16, which should give me time to play some non-WSOP tourneys before Friday. Any suggestions?

Pauli and some other people I know really like to play the daily WSOP tourney at 3pm ($235 to enter). I personally prefer the Venetian Deep Stack, mostly because they tend to end play for the day at a more reasonable hour. It seems like I always end up playing until 5am at the daily WSOP events. The single table events remain pretty soft as well, even with a few grinders participating nowadays. Plus, there is always the cash games, which I have to focus on to make up for losing money at the tourneys.

My coworker did not cash in that event, but he did play the $220 Binions Omaha (fixed limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better and won that for a nice 8k boost. He then entered Event 13 Omaha and seven card stud. Did well and made it to day two, but was eliminated 60th 12 out of the money. The only other tourney he knows he will be playing is Event #24: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.

Good luck to you three on the 19th. Go old guys.

Of all the various WSOP events I've played, I think that was my favorite. At the time, it was also the softest although I note that more people play mixed games these days.

The shark is currently in Vegas, which I guess means the veterans must be on us. I'm not sure where he'll post about it, but the most recent thread is this one:
