This keeps fading like a bad RF signal.

If I have a 25% chance to win - e.g. probability 1 in 4 then the odds are expressed as 3-1 right ? For every 4 trials I will lose 3 and win 1.

So to make a call I would need pot odds of 3-1 to break even.

I don't want to hunt for Matt's book.

Yes, you're absolutely correct. 1 in 4 = 3 to 1

Thanks for the quick reply - a dealer once said that the odds to flop a set was 9-1. I did not bother to say anything, we know the odds are 7.5-1 Smile I think he meant that the probability is 1-9 (1-8.5) or just under 12%.
