If I play suited connectors what are the odds:

1. Of making either an open-ended straight draw (or a double belly buster straight draw) or a flush draw (ie 4 to the flush/straight) or better (ie the actual complete flush orstraight) on the flop. I want just one set off odds covering the combined outcomes.

2. The odds of (1.) combined with a the odds of a making two pair.

Thanks

A flush or flush draw is about 12% to hit. Two pair or trips are about 3%. I think an oesd is about 8%. I've never seen odds for a double gutshot.

I also don't know a flopped straight. I know that the odds of any three connected cards 4-5-6 are about 3.5%. Given that there are nine three card straights that could flop, I'd assume any particular combo is about .5%, you have two of those and two two gap flops that flop a straight, so I'd guesstimate you would flop a straight about 2% of the time.

A definitive answer from BruceZ. If BruceZ says it, it is fact.

That's just the job - thanks.

I certainly wouldn't know how to work that out for myself!
