I made it here (Atlantic City) on Friday during Ed Miller's Q&A session. He's a very nice guy and was a great choice for the speaker.

First ITH event was a $40 limit holdem tournament. My strategy of holding on until the final table and then getting good cards every hand held up, and I beat Torch H-U for first place. Live poker is clearly rigged. Wink

The second event was a NL MTT. I donated all my chips to KrazyTxan in the first hour on that one when my AQ ran into her bullets. Razz Wade bested Piemaster H-U to eventually win that event.

Then we got an ITH cash table you'd never want to play in real life: Nsidestrate, Ed Miller, Niin, SuitedPair, KrazyTxan JaneG/Bullajami (I took her seat when she went to bed), BugsBunny (who also let Primitive and Tanya Peck play a few hands for him) Piscivorous, and RocketPlayer. Shocked About the third time Nside raised into Ed Miller pre-flop with J4o, I think Ed caught on to how things were going to go, and he got into the spirit of the event and played donktastically. Laughing DrunkSuited (I LOVE DrunkSuited, btw - so much fun!) was crushing the table for a while, but things evened out later in the night. We played until about 0330 and then off to bed.

I drank about 6 Martinis with my brother Piscivorous at that table, and I do not know how my head is not banging today, but I feel pretty good! Off for lunch and another day.

A short, semi-drunken update from the Main event evening. Our man Wynton won the Main Event in fine fashion. JaneG was second, SuitedPair third, Rocketplayer fourth, and Ciaran was the fifth place finisher. I made my third final table while avoiding getting cash at every turn.

I'm not sure. I'd guess about $600 or a bit more.

I also left off Bugs, who won the second limit event. I've got a TON of pictures to edit and post.

And I somehow left Ciaran off of the cash game we ran on Friday night. He had the great misfortune of being right of DrunkSuited, knowing that 90% of his hands would be raised/re-raised pre-flop. Surprised

Bugs had to beat KT HU for the second limit event.

In the main event I was very short-stacked so pushed blind from UTG and woke up with QJs and tripled. That got me to the FT, but I busted 10th when I lost a race to Piemaster.

Late last night, under the influence of several BOURBONS!!! I became convinced that I bring nside good luck. Sadly, this theory did not hold up when I shadowed his betting for a while at the craps table. Razz

KT rocked, she ITM'ed two out of three tourneys. A 5th in Friday's NL and a 2nd in Saturday's Limit... HU against Bugs no less!

WOOTAH KT (and for those who haven't met her in person she's even more warm, friendly and huggable in person than she is in cyberspace Smile )

Wynton played a great game; and please note..the 3 finalists in the NL ME were all...ahem...LIMIT PLAYERS! LOL Smile

Ciaran really deserved to finish higher than 5th, he ran into some bad luck when we FT'd. Sad

Tanya also deserved to finish higher and may well have if I hadn't put a horrible bad beat on her which she handled with superb grace; not 1 gripe, even though I crippled her stack and it had to hurt because she really wanted that trophy. Sorry Tanya Embarassed You can get me back next year.

One very funny moment happened early in the donkfest, we all sat down with a rack of whites, Suited went on a tear and in 3-4 hands wiped out a good portion of Ed's starting rack. He disappeared for 5 or10 minutes and returned with 4 racks; saying he hadn't been properly bankrolled ... rotflmao

PS If you ever play with DrunkenSuited and hear her say she's not sure what she has, get out of the way, SHE HAS THE NUTS! Wink

That was actually the third tourney, but the second limit tourney. Tough to keep up, eh?

One more note on that event is that Ed Miller came back (after the Friday night donkfest) and played in it, finishing third. He then donated his winnings to COLOMBIANITOS. He is a 100% class act.

The best part with playing with Ed was when he was down to 3 dollars, he got up and left the table... a few minutes later, he comes back with 3 or 4 racks, creates this huge pile of chips, then says

"Ok, now I'm properly bankrolled for this game".

That was classic. Of course that game was classic in many ways and NSIDE should have done the right thing,

not played

and video taped it
