Nice article - I try very hard not to tell any bad beat stories anymore - I sometime try to tell bad win stories, how I lucked out. Smile

This is from memory and might be a little off.

I was reading a Poker Magazine where Doyle beat a guy by getting Quad Tens as I recall. The player with KK made a big raise and a player mucked TT. Doyle called with TT drawing almost dead. Then the dealer dropped the deck on the muck and they were reshuffled.

Doyle got his Quads. Now that is the worst beat in poker. I think that everyone should use that beat as a measure of a True Bad Beat before they ever tell another story.

Of course, when I get a bad beat and win a Jackpot then I tell that story as often as I can. My 88 got beat by QQ in a no-limit game in 2005 - 78Q8Q and I won $35k. I was very happy to lose that hand.

Just read this somewhere myself (Card Player?).

Bad beat of all bad beat stories.

I'm fairly certain it was T.J. Cloutier that sucked out against some other pro. Can't remember the other person's name.

As I said the memory is a little flaky. Sounds right.

I think it was the same guy who cracked Matthew's aces.

yes, it was Krux who busted my aces and was in the hand with Cloutier.

Glad you liked the article - was a fun one to write.
