Final Colombianitos Quest Summary (updated 7/9/08 ):
Final Analysis and Thoughts:
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how I played these 20K hands. Once I piece together my databases, I'll get an exact ptBB/100 rate for the sample, but $203.55 in profits equates to about 5.1 ptBB/100 over an ~20K sample size.
I really expected to achieve a better earn rate than I did, but I'm pretty sure that I ran below expectation over the whole session...at some point, I'm going to put the hands into PokerEV and see how much below I ran. It wouldn't surprise me if it was about $30-40 or even more.
I'll be shipping back your stakes and profits tonight...I'm just going to round up the numbers in the spreadsheet, just to make it easier to type in the transfers. I'll be shipping $41 to the Colombianitos.
Thanks again to everyone for backing me!!!!!
Jeff

Session #1 Summary:
Overall, a nice starting session! Dropped about a buyin at the end of the session to a 90/12 drooler when he drew out twice on me…oh well…
Session #1 Hands of Interest:
Biggest Pots Won:
Main villain here was an absolute aggrodonk, raising and/or pushing all-in almost every hand. I was really disappointed to have to play this hand OOP versus him and to get another fish along for the ride…

I limped this one as original 2 limpers were about as weak-tight and nitty as you could get—especially the one with the shortstack. Usually I raise all PPs when in position at 6-max, but figured I’d play for set value here. PFR’r was super-tight, so I put him on a big PP or AK…lo and behold, I actually flop a set vs. someone that will pay me off!

Villain here was running something like 50/30 over a decent sample. A good example of why you don’t fold sets vs. players with stats like this, even on scary boards…

Session #2 Summary:
Typical swingy 6-max session...Very happy with the way I'm playing, just didn't get the big results today...still, booked a +1 BI session, so not going to complain too much...
Biggest Pots Won:
Villain in this hand was an aggrodonk...he had done this kind of stuff w. complete garbage, so I felt AQ was doing quite well vs. his range...

Villain here had been defending his blinds pretty frequently. I was wary of the check/minraise, but he had done this before to late-position PFR'ers, so I could very well be good here...unfortunately, his turn bet pretty much priced me into going runner-runner...

Session #3 Summary:
Booked another 1K hands of variance-tastic action. Some of it I've courted through aggressive play, but quite a bit of it is straight bad-beat variance that I can do little about. But, with 17K hands left, I'm not worried since it should all even out to a substantial degree over this sample size.
Session graph:
FWIW, Here's how great my big pairs have been running over the last 2 sessions:

| Mash, any chance you would consider using photobucket to host the images instead of imageshack? I keep getting popus when viewing and the graphs appear broken up to me. |

MX - I fixed the pics and just made them directly load in the thread.
Session #4 Summary:
Started off really nice over the 1st 600 or so hands. Then, 1000 hands of grinding...very few big pots and pretty much flatlined. I really don't feel like I've run hot other than the initial start...so, it'd be nice to get a nice hot run of 3-4K hands or so...

Hey Gang,
I apologize...been ultra-busy this past week...multiple evening family functions, and work is currently a pain in the a**...but I managed to hammer out about 700 hands the other night...as you can see, it went well:

Ask and ye shall receive...been lazy with the updates but not with the playing. Knocked off about 5K more hands of pure goodness (sarcasm). Still waiting for my equity with big hands to normalize out...it'd sure be nice if it could do it before I get to 20K hands...still about 5 buyins below expectation for my QQ+ hands...taking a big chunk out of my winrate...

Hey guys,
So sorry for the lack of updates...some real-life responsibilities have ended up taking up a LOT more time this past month than I would have liked...have not played at any great frequency, unfortunately.
I do have about 3K more hands that haven't been put into the database...running about the same earn rate as before. My goal is to finish this thing off by the end of June and get the money/profits shipped back ASAP.
Thanks to all the backers for your ongoing patience!!!!
