Really? I find I am seldom astonished by the things that happen at 2+2 anymore. |

If you think that's crazy "even for him", I don't think you've seen all the stuff he's done over there Seriously, he has some problems. |

| Geez. If book sales dropped he might have to try to become a winning poker player to make a living. Things are tough all over. |

Why doesn't it surprise me to find a response from you here. I guess Ed Miller really wished he never got involved with 2+2. |

I wonder if trying to make the 2plus2 forum a worse place is why Mason has been even more cranky lately and more people seem to be banned at the drop of a hat.
Does he not realize that ill will can carry over and hurt his book sales?
At this point, I am buying books despite their being from 2plus2 and not because of it.
But after Colin Moshman's Heads Up book, are there any 2plus2 books even on the horizon? |

| After deleting every reference to it for a while, 2+2 left a post up on the subject. Mason responds once or twice. Linky |

Thanks for the link. In the thread that the link goes to, people point out that the action was never taken so what is the big deal. The big deal is that Mason even contemplated something like that.
Also, as someone points out, Mason once denied that he or anyone at 2plus2 put any pressure on Ed Miller to make the old stuff on the site, Noted Poker Authority, accessible only to paying customers. But in the linked thread, Mason admits they put pressure on some author, but does not name Miller as the author. Come on Mason, who else could it be? |

Who can he be talking about

Why on earth would they carry 2 years worth of inventory, that's just nuts.
He's complaining that sales are down but I'd bet they will drop even further if the has moderator's remove sticky links to useful posts. With all the tripe on 2+2 people will have even less reason to visit the forum and future author names won't resonate with them. |

What "quality" strategy posts is MM referring to? They have those over there? Really? Well, who knew.... (Oh, alright, there are a few.)
Wondering if Mason made the mistake of thinking the boom would last forever, and book sales would continue to ratchet up. He's been in the business long enough to realize the boom would subside.
Or maybe it is just he can't handle the reality that he and DS are no longer the end all and be all of poker writers/publishers. Maybe they never really were, but they sure thought so. Getting harder to delude themselves with so many good books published the past few years. (And with better quality paper and bindings, no less. ) |
