Ive decided to play poker for a living ... what kind of living ? ... who knows !!

But im going to try it out playing a max of 4 tables at $200NL 6 max ..

If this all goes belly up ... then ill be the first to admit ... I made a mistake .. Confused

Ill be still working on Fridays until maybe April ...so between now and then .. ill see how it goes ..

Ive yet to play this month untill about 3 hours ago ... only because i lost my BT connection when they messed up a routine upgrade for our street Rolling Eyes

So now its all systems go !!

Im allready half way through the VC $1000k bonus .. so thats my priority as i have to finish by the 20th ....

Hopefully this will be a nice start to the poker earner Very Happy ..

I will say now ... i will be happy with say .... $3k a month in table profit / bonus's and rakeback ...

Anything above that ... is just gravy .... as Fumseck would say Very Happy

Can someone sticky this please

I'd have been more than happy to sticky this thread for you - looks like someone got here before me, though Shocked

Good luck! And I hope BT prove more reliable than they have so far... Evil or Very Mad

Thanks Cybrarian ....*edit* and Fumseck Very Happy

I was wondering if there is visable alternative option to BT ... ?

I might open a thread about it to find out ..its not something that i really thought about untill this dibacle Evil or Very Mad

Anyway ... on the first small steps for Llanlad's goal to be a millionaire by this time next year Laughing

I played for 4.37 hours .. .and im allready knackered Shocked .. this took me four different sessions to achieve !! .. looks like im going to have to get used to longer sessions ... but maybe as i did not get connection until the afternoon ... I may have pushed it slightly ..

But i played 904 hands in that time and ran quite well ... Its allways nice to have a good start in these type of things ... so im happy ...

Showed a profit of $827.48 ... so really will sleep well tonight Very Happy .. looking forward to my first proper day tommorrow ...

Im thinking of getting up at around 7am and checking out the tribecca tables at that kinda time ...

Nos da all

If it's ADSL you've got, whoever you pay is just a reseller of BT unfortunately Sad Any problems you have with one, are likely to be there with another. The only alternative is cable, which I'm told is alot more reliable.

Good luck with going pro Smile

I don't know anything about cable providers, but that's about the only real alternative I know of.

I did sign up for a BPL system once, which was Southern Electric (I think) offering broadband down the power supply, but the place I was in at the time meant that I couldn't go ahead with it for one reason or another. I don't think there are very many places at all that offer it yet.

jeez .. who in there right mind gets up before 7am on a bitterly cold morning to play poker !!

Ive been playing over an hour and im down $82 !!

Im getting less action than a bloke who wears a t shirt with the words " i have a STD "

Even my rather respectfull looking river value bets are not being called !!

Actually .. the tribecca tables where tighter than i expected at that time ... noticed a few multitablers about ...damn those multitablers !! Rolling Eyes

Very Happy

Ive come to the conclusion ... BT have us by the balls !!

I have had a number of broadband providers down the years and BT has been the most reliable.

Good luck with your new career, if it makes you feel better I have been up longer than you Smile

Well .. someone remind me not to play at the cryptos before 11am ....

Jeez .. I was 4 tabling and the highest average table VPIP was 22% ..

Not sure whats worse .. playing the tribecca at 7am or playing the cryptos before midday Confused

Looks like im going to have to play the cryptos late at night ... I will try the afternoons .. but i dont fancy my chances of seeing some loose tabes there !

I need some juicy tables for the afternoon ...

Early morning has always been a profitable time for me.

I was up at 6am this morning and got quite a few hands in before breakfast.

Stars is always very juicy that time of the day.

I believe Pie is usually up early - it might be something you have to incorporate into your routine too, Llan.
