Just a quick rave about this weekend and the best results of my poker life so far.
To put things in perspective I've been getting decent results in small field MTTs recently, but never really getting anywhere in the large field guarantees on Stars. That said, I had a feeling I was due a decent run at one soon.
Just before midnight on Friday I registered at the last minute for the$11 buyin $30k. 7.5 hours later I finished 13/3077 for $184. Jrspm, Cript and I had a deal to split our action so I actually only made $50 profit on that one.
Then today at midday I started the $11 buyin $8k. Around 7.5 hours later I finished that one 4/1377 for a little over $1k  . I started off like a train in this one and was CL for a while aroung the 2nd hour and was never in trouble until 7 or 8 handed at the final where an all in re-raise with AK ran into QQ and didn't improve. This left me with the princely stack od 20k, or 1bb. Two hands later I was back to 350k 
Anyway - what a weekend. Plenty more like this to come I hope

In my opening post I forgot to mention BIG thanks to Neilis and DrNo for supporting me through the latter stages of the $30k and TP and Piscivorous for the same in the $8k.#
Actually, not sure about TP - it was thanks to his encouragement to shove I ended up down to 1bb |
