Spring training is almost upon us in the major leagues.

Spring training is already upon us in the UK - I started training with Richmond Baseball Club in London a couple of weeks ago!

And of course, the long-awaited return of fantasy baseball is nigh.

I have been without the internet at home now for so long it is depressing. I've only been able to check ITH once in a while. As reigning champion from 2007, I feel it's only right for me to defend my title! I didn't want to miss out on the signup, so I thought I should initiate it myself Smile

Anyone who wants to play, please reply in this thread.

I think last year it was a maximum of 14 players on Yahoo? You may have to give me pointers on how to set up the league, or if one of you would prefer to run it (malteg?) by all means do!

Entrance is free on Yahoo! fantasy sports site. Draft date and rules TBA.

List of participants so far:
BuzzBeeSi
Ecchu
rocketplayer
thew92
evv98
torch
jfletcher(?)
darvon
mcfoldem
bu.terriers
dankimball
SPU_MAN

Room for 2 more players!!

I'm in.

Also Yahoo now has the option to limiting your (my) transactions per week. So I am sure you will want to add that rule in this year. Wink

How complex of a league is this? Do you have to submit lineups all the time, or do you just pick a roster and let 'em play?

I'd like to give it a shot. I haven't done a fantasy league in about 12 years, and I hated the last one cuz it was too complicated.

Are steroids permitted in this league? If so, Fletcher has way too much access to get them.

I have never played fantasy baseball before.

I would like to play if you need a fish.

What do I do to join?

Definitely willing to be a victim... not volunteering to be commissioner!

BU

Is this a free league or is there a donation involved?

Free or small donation is fine with me.

It's free but you'll love it so much that you pay the $10 or so to see live stat updates!

Last year, we set lineups daily. Obviously you don't have to, but it is often advantageous to have people always playing.

I've seen weekly lineup league, but I prefer daily fo baseball.

You can also set up your daily lineups in advance, so 5 mins of work on a Saturday will set you up for the rest of the week.
