I think the playoff match-ups are awesome this year. I have to give the big edge to the Rays since not only do they have the far superior bullpen, but they have their pitching rotation set. I also think the Angels just have too much for the Red Sox. If Boston was healthy, it might be a different thing. A Rays/Angels ALCS would be a tough call. The Angels are boring, but do everything right. The Rays remind me of the young Marlins squad that beat the Yankees a few years back -- they may not even know enough to be scared.
But the real interesting match-ups are in the NL. I have to give the edge to my beloved Phils over the Brewers, unless they find a way to pitch Sabithia three times. I think we have too much offense and maybe the best relief pitching in the playoffs. I'm also calling for the Dodgers to shock everyone and beat the Cubbies. Partly it is the curse and partly it is the Manny factor. Of course, if Chicago has any sense, Ramirez won't see three balls over the plate the entire series. I think the Phils finally get back to the World Series after a 15 year drought. |

| Angels over Cubs in the World Series. (Boring taking the teams with the two best records, I know.) |

No imagination.

Not looking so good at the moment. Who would have thought that there would be two cities with two teams and no teams from New York? |

You gotta like Boston at this point.
It'd be fun to see how Manny was received in Fenway. |

Manny, Nomar, Lowe, and Torre. I'm sure the TV execs are hoping for Boston v L.A.. |

I got 3 of 4. I really didn't think the Sox had enough healthy players, but it didn't seem to matter. Of course, if the Angels weren't incompetent, we'd be looking at one more game. I still like a Phils / Rays series, but I'm not so confident now.
Manny has a 50/50 shot at a ring, since he'd get one with either the Dodgers or the Sox. |

Notice I never popped in on this thread. I'm an Angels fan and I knew their prize of Boston as a wild-card was going to kill them. |

| I'll be honest...I cheer against BOS every game but secretly, I want the Dodgers winning the World Series in Boston. |
