| With so many sites closing accounts of USA players I was wondering if the league is to be cancelled or are you waiting until the situation clarifies? |

Hi Hed, right now the League has been cancelled. Whenever all of this sorts out and we know what sites will accept what players, we'll look into the League but I have no idea when that will be. It just becomes too difficult trying to schedule tournaments right now.
We are going to look into some type of weekly tournament though for ITHers to get together and play.

Not true...In these troubling times, the online poker community needs strong figures to support the remaining sites that have not caved into the political pressure from the US. ITH is a solid, well respected forum, to back away and claim "it's too difficult" is doing a diservice to it's forum and league members.
ITH has dropped the ball here, wiill anyone disagree? |

I think this is somewhat hyperbolic. At least in the context of what a medium-sized poker discussion forum can "do".

I think this is premature and to start the league now only to find that host sites become unavailable to US players over the next few weeks would be folly. |

You are wrong.
Many respectable sites and forums are currently running leagues.
Would you like a list? |

So, some other sites have made a different decision to ITH. So what? And how does that make me "wrong"?
I think you'd do well to find something meaningful to bellyache about. The ITH leagues might be delayed for a few weeks. Big deal. |

| Holdem Radio and Poker School Online are two sites. You can google "online poker league" for more. |

Hmmm... Matt did not say we would not have a league. And if we don`t that would be ok too...
ITH has always had a very professional attitude and I think they don't want to start something that has to be canceled in the middle because the sites changes their mind about US players. |

I am sorry this has been long in coming and our communication about the league has been vague at best. The challenges have been overwhelming since "black Friday" - but we are working through them.
As you have heard, for now, the ITH WSOP league has been indefinitely cancelled.
We will however be working on some weekly and monthly leagues that everyone can participate in and have fun. I am hoping to line up some good added prizes and cash bonuses with the participating sites. Bare with us as we finalize a few projects over the next few weeks. Ciaran and the rest of the team will put our heads together to get some fun started for 2007.
I am very sorry again for the news and my sincerest apologies for not coming forth sooner. The dust is settling and we will have some great things to come in the near future!
Best to all!
