Hi all

Ive taken a couple of weeks off to totally re-evaluate my mindset, my game, my outlook and my goals when it comes to poker ..

Recently ... even by my own poor standards .. ive lost the plot when it comes to poker and everything associated with the game ..

So i took some time out and went over many things that ive struggled with for ... what seems like years ... and decided to actually do something about it ...

Anything is better than just ranting all the time ...so im trying to be a little constructive ..

After pulling out thousands of $$ over the last year or so ... my bankroll is now just $2k ... and ive gone back to the basics ..

Ive gone over many aspects of my game recently ...especially post flop ... think ive made the mistake of thinking too much about preflop and the flop ..and not paying enough attention to my turn and river game ...

Ive read some books and watched many videos ... and im ready to kick some booty .. Very Happy

I wont be withdrawing any $$ from my bankroll for at least 3 months and want to build it up again and move back to $200nl .. but i wont do that unless i get can get back to say ... $5k at least ..probably more ..

So this is it folks ... i start again .. but with a real focus on improving .. instead of ranting ...

Lets see how it goes .. but i feel good about the possibilities ... and i feel ive got the chance to enjoy poker again ..

Bring on August i say .. Very Happy

I hope things will work out for you now. Just remember to keep working on your game at all times. Piemaster also mentions it in his book but a continues cycle to improve yourself is absolutely essential for your long term results.

I did this recently after I went broke and wondered whether to bother reloading. I didn't have to reach into my wallet thanks to $9 of ITH rakeback magically appearing, and now I'm up to $460 and enjoying some new challenges.

Hi KT ..

She went through a spell where she started drinking again ... started off slowly ... but her old habits soon returned and she was getting wrecked again ..

Quite amazing considering drink allmost killed her ... but she went to a after care meeting where two specialist spoke to her about her operation and her drinking problems ... after she told them she had started drinking again ... they basically told her what her future ( or lack of it ) was going to be like ..

Basically .. because her injuries where so severe .. drinking again could cause a whole load of nasty side effects ..

To be honest ... and rightly so .... this scared the hell out of her ... and 5 weeks later ... she has not had a drink ... as far as im aware of ..

Her boyfriend has moved into his own house about 35 miles awway ... and they seem to be drifting apart ... something she dont mind .. according to her ..

Me and our son have been spending a lot of time with her since she stopped drinking ... and her old personality and confidence are slowly returning ..

She still has a big dent in the side of her head which affects her confidence at times .. and will have a operation hopefully sometime next year to have that part of the skull put back ...

As for her and me getting back together ... well we split up 3 years ago ... and im not too keen on going back to ber honest ... but hey .. you never know ... we get on better now than when whe where together !!

She is building bridges ..so to speak with our son ... and thats the most important thing for me .....so yeah .. things are good !

Thanks for asking ... Very Happy

Im in need of a change !

After coming back all " up for it " etc etc ... ive been ipoker pwned again Very Happy

Ive played roughly 800 hands at my won@showdown stat is a cronic 0%

Just raised an EP mini raiser when i had KAs and did the usual 3Bet ... we end up getting it in on the turn after the flop AT2 ... he had AT Rolling Eyes

So ive decided over 50k hands of this tripe is enough for Llanlad to deal with and im looking for pastures new ...

Ive not played at Full Tilt for years ... any advice on there ? .. RB / bonus's / loyalty schemes ???/

Whats the $100FR tables like there nowadays ?

At this rate ... Sky Poker is starting to look appealing Wink

GL Llan!

For FT - I think ITH might offer rakeback.

Also, Raketherake is a legit site with good service - and they have loyalty freeroles monthly. Make sure you get the full $600 bonus - it is a good one.

Thanks Elmo ...

I allready have an account with FT through RTR ... i was just wondering if anything had change there since the last time i played on their tables ..ie fishes, new bonus's etc

Frankly ... i have no idea what i want to do or where to play ... its been so long since i had an upswing ... im 2nd guessing every decision i make ... and that includes where to play ..

I think FT RB is still the usual 27% .. but ive got 40% and a easy to qualify monthly race at ipoker .. and enough new skins to last me an iternity .....

I wont lose my rag anymore ... ( hehehe ) .. heard that before ... but a little upswing would do me the world of good !

Since the 27th March .... its been a bumpy road !

To be honest .. RB is not the urgent part right now ... and rightly so ... just looking for some soft games to get my confidence back !

I wont play at Stars ... in fact .. ive given my Stars account to a mate ... and hes learning through the micro stakes ...

Hi Fumseck .. good to see you back too Very Happy

Im with CR ... been watching a load of videos over the last fortnight or so ....and im reading HoH 1/2 cash games ..

Ive also been through a lot of my big losses on PT too .. and apart from a few times where i should have folded KK or AA to a nits aggression ... ive not been that out of line ..

Of course there is more to it than that .. and i have leaks like the rest of us .... but over 50k hands is long enough for me ..

Maybe i should download some of that software where it shows if your running bad or something ... but not sure what that solves TBH ..

anyways .. no big deal ... at least its made me aware that my game may have become a bit stale ... ill come out of this a better player ..maybe a little poorer though Very Happy

Slight hijack here - did I read this right that you've got 40% RB at ipoker?? If so where did you get this? I quite like ipoker at the moment, mainly because it's so easy to tag a fish as your buddy and then search for them when you're looking for a decent table, but losing my 27% RB at FTP is hurting my monthly earn rate quite a bit.

ipoker with RB would be a great resolution to this problem
