This is a situation that confuses me somewhat and I'm never completely sure how to play it.

Hero is SB with 77

PRE FLOP
CO/BTN raises, Hero 3 bets, CO/BTN caps

FLOP
Ac 6s 3h
Hero checks, CO/BTN bets, Hero?

How would you play this against these 3 opponent types absent of any reads?
1. 24/18
2. 53/31
3. 34/24

FWIW I think it's a fold against a passive 30/4 guy and opponent 1.

I am definitely calling down vs opponent 2. Against opponent 1, I am probably peeling the flop, maybe the turn. But I'm not check-calling 3 bets here.

Player 2 looks familiar, as these are roughly my stats, although I never cap in villains' position. I think you can treat this player the same as player 1, maybe be a little bit more inclined to see the river.

So do you ever cap in position Willem?

This is a tough one.

Player 1 is a fold. (or a peel/fold). Player 2 and 3 is really dependent on if they are weighing their ranges in a good way. Some are and some arenīt. Itīs a calldown against those who 3bet a bit light with added hands like suited broadways, small PPīs and maybe even 98s. Also how aggressive they are at barelling is an important consideration. So if I had to make a choice I would say call down only against player 2.

Never. Any villain is going to (correctly) auto-bet every flop, allowing me to raise there if I think my hand warrants it. But now, I can also call down if I have a mediocre hand, or fold directly if I completely miss. I also don't give away any information by never capping preflop.
