So I'm trying to figure out a way to make people really feel fear and anger while not hurting them or putting them in a truly dangerous situation.
Anyone got any ideas? |

1. Send them a photo of themselves with their eyes gouged out and/or
2. Send them a note saying 'YOU'RE NEXT'.
(Prolly better to wear gloves and use a self-sealing envelope.)
But surely, as an obvious head case - you should know this stuff already. |

Is that what he wants, though? I'd assumed this was a more general proposition. |

Well I figured out fear. I think I'll use those prank programs from a couple of years back that had you playing a trivial game - in the midst of which something jumped out of the screen and there was a loud scream.
Still stumped by anger . . .
The point is to create a situation that is easily replicable and just makes people truly experience anger.
People get angry when they don't get what they want, or when something is grossly unfair in their eyes. Can't really think of a situation that would be replicable and induce anger in most people. I'll think about it some more. |

| Perhaps you need to bring Tuff Fish on as a consultant for this. |

Going to tweak Pie's response:
Instill Fear:
Tell them you are a pedophile and do it over the microphone at a meeting.
It would work best if small children are around.
Instill Anger:
Tell them they are a pedophile and do it over the microphone at a meeting. |

Sounds like some kind of psychology experiment to me.
If you want to make people angry, you could just lay out some sort of complicated task for them and keep correcting them for not doing it right, rolling you eyes at them, telling them that you just had a 5-year-old in who could do it, etc etc.
Maybe give them a paper with a bunch of almost identical shapes and tell them to pick out the one that's different. Tell them they have three seconds to do it, but don't tell them when the three seconds start. Be a real jerk. |

The problem with these is that they are hard to control and aren't necessarily replicable. Though there have been studies done where they give someone 20 impossible questions and half an hour to complete, and then insinuate that this is the worst they've seen anyone do on this test. I personally don't like that since you're pushing them to become angry/frustrated as opposed to them naturally becoming angry/frustrated. |
