Let me take you on a walk down memory lane......
Roughly two years ago i read an article in the paper about online poker players who were making a living. I was quite perplexed.... i mean how could someone possibly win at any gambling game??? The house always wins!! Nonetheless, i was very curious. Later, I went to barnes and nobles and started looking at poker books (i had never played before, save a few 5 card draw games with my friends when i was a teenager.) Of all the books, your ITH cover really stuck out (guy on the beach and all....) and i decided to get a cup of coffee and take a look. After a few visits, it was converted into a purchase. I played play money for a while, then i made a 25 dollar deposit onto ultimate bet.....
I can not begin to tell you how much 1 book has changed my life. I have not worked since early march this year, and have been making a great living playing cards over the net.....
I am also coaching a little on the side and I teach my students that you are a god, and everything in your book is golden. I have since studied most of the literature out there on limit, and although it's all good, your book is my primary source. It can not be beaten in my opinion. The cover of my ITH looks like its been attacked by a pack of rabid dogs. While other people are often busy posting on forums, I am rereading your chapter on sets for the umpteenth time....
Man, you are the greatest! Thank you so much, and i'm sure i will meet you someday...

Thanks. I never tire of getting nice feedback! Writing a book is not an easy task so those kinds of posts make it worthwhile when I feel like I'm never going to finish.

Well I'm not so sure I love you Matthew but I will agree that your book is the best - no matter what your level. Although I now have many other poker books, yours is the one by the side of the bed that is read and referred to daily. It also does not fall to bits -although the plastic is peeling I would never swap it or sell it.
Reminder to self - go buy other book now.
I am now making a profit - perhaps when I am making a living from poker my feelings towards you might change.
