ablmonroe:
I'm going to suggest that you explain a bit more about what your software tries to accomplish in order to convince anyone to test it.
Everyone else:
I would be careful about downloading executable files from a source that you do not know. I checked it briefly using a virus scanner on a non-poker computer and didn't see anything, but I didn't have time to do much more than that. |

Thank you giving the ok for the post.
1. I am selling nothing.
2. I am just looking for insight from other poker players on what they would find usefull in a poker tool.
3. I want this tool to be used to test different stratigies on how to play.
4. The decisions for PreFlop actions in this tool are actually based off of the tables in the Internet Texas Holdem book.
Any questions or concerns please let me know. Also please feel free to run thorugh any virus software. CodeProject also does virus checking for progrms that are loaded onto there site. |

I took on for the team and gave this a try. No virus was found and nothing was written to the hard drive. Take it for what it’s worth…
I think this is an interesting application. And for the most part I like it. The position was a little hard to get used to (only because it didn’t change), but in a test application, as long as there’s a small and big blind with players, I don’t see it as a problem.
You mentioned that the pre-flop actions were taken from the Internet Texas Holdem book which seemed to be pretty accurate, but I didn’t study it long.
Just for my own curiosity, what method do you use to determine the rest of the actions? It seems to play pretty well, maybe too tight, but again I didn’t study it long. |

Hey Cap
Thanks for the post. Yes we both post from the same ip. Cap works at a coffee
shop that I visit. You will also notice that I post from a different ip for my office.
Maybe this site just isn't what I thought it was. Seems like its just a bunch of people that want to attack rather than give the benefit of the doubt and take the time to look at what I have posted about.
Cap if you look at the codeproject article you can see how the post flop actions are determined. |

Who am I trying to fool?
I am looking for comments on a application that I am working on.
Thats it and if the people that are master posters on this site can't understand that then i obviously got the wrong idea about this site. I would love to actually know why everyone is so negative about my posts. |

I bet you're a really nice guy, naive, but nice.
The reason why everyone is so negative about your posts is because you're coming across as a spammer. Someone who signed up for this forum only to, eventually, sell us something.
THEN you have a friend come on the forum as well and pretend that he doesn't know you and that he "took one for the team" when he's only posted 4 times, and he "took one for the team" for you, who we already suspect of being a spammer, so in a nutshell, you both came across as liars. Because he knows you and you know him, same IP address, yet he pretended that he didn't and you pretended as well when you responded to him.
Not a good first impression to the forum, can you see where we're coming from?? |

I understand what you are saying if I had actually tried to sell anyone anything. All i am looking for is advice and suggestions on software that can be used by other people. Yes I know the other poster and yes he posted about the software. But is there anything wrong with him being part of the discussion.
So once again if you have something to say about the software I would love to hear it. If not then thats fine. Check your spam box you won't see any emails from me. |

I've looked at the screenshot and there are major errors here, you have 10 players seeing the flop so your outs calculation are all wrong. Outs percentages total more than 100% how does this work???
How can a player holding 4d5c have 14 outs against nine other players when the board is 6s 7h jc.
Sorry but this looks like you taken some basic code and bolted a .NET form on the front. Not worth looking at. |
